Owl Onslaught?
« on: July 25, 2017, 18:05:57 CDT »
It used to be that we in the U.S. would see an owl in the occasional public service announcement…

Or a Tootsie Pop ad.

Then, a few years ago, a couple appeared in an insurance ad.

But now they seem to be taking over the airwaves! Now they’re selling eyeglasses…

And allergy medicine

And hotel pricing websites

And online universities

Now, I find these spokesbirds to be utterly adorable, but I can’t help wondering…could this be part of some insidious plot? Could they have a plan to take over the world?!

This is because owls are awesome. They can't help it, they just are :)

For something different, though, a couple of years back, the State of Kentucky decided to make a PSA about road safety using Eo the Vulture, who lives at Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky Inc. Eo and Echo are facebook friends which is how I found out about the ad. Okay, Eo's not a Condor, but he is cute. Watch for him at the end.

Never trust an atom.
They make up everything.
